Launching August 1!!

The time has come! Crate Culture Co. officially launches August 1. We will begin telling the amazing stories of independent record stores all across the country (and Canada!!) right here: https://www.instagram.com/cratecultureco/. For the past few months, we’ve been getting to know the amazing people that run some of the coolest record shops and we’re so excited to be bringing you their stories!

Crate Culture Co. personally interviews each and every store owner. It’s more than just a conversation, we really get to know them. Learning about their background always lends a hand to why they opened the store and how the store is shaped. I truly mean this - these are some of the coolest people in the world. I felt like I met my people!! And the friendship continues as we collaborate on their story, shirt and sticker. We text, we email, we zoom - we really build a friendship.

I keep saying I’m the target market. That’s because I am. I plan on wearing the hell out these shirts so they need to fit my standards: the shirt needs to be soft, look good, feel good, fit good and last. That’s what we’ll deliver.

I did some scientific research by looking in my closet and came up the conclusion that there is an overabundance of black tee-shirts in the music world in general. With Crate Culture Co, we will certainly have black shirts once in a while but there will be a huge variety of colors and designs so this feels fresh every month and is authentic to the store it’s serves. The samples we’ve received have been great so far (we quality check everything before we send to our members) and the early variety of colors is diverse.

As most here would agree, indie record store logos are really f**kin cool. We’ll stay true to the logo most of the time but also add a little flavor to make it exclusive. Lee’s design help makes sure the logo looks great and is ready for printing.

These are Next Level unisex tees and do fit a little snug (size chart: https://cratecultureco.com/pages/sizing-chart). If you’re one of those people like me who are in-between sizes, I recommend going up. As an example, I wear mostly a large but prefer an XL for these. And if you ever need to change a size for the following month, it’s as easy as emailing hello@cratecultureco.com.

And the stickers are awesome too. They are die-cut and high quality so you can stick to your water bottle and they won’t come off in dishwasher. I’ve been really happy with samples so far.

You can save 10% through August 10 off of any membership with the code FIRSTSPIN10.

Make sure you follow us on Instagram as we reveal our August Featured Store in the coming days.

It’s about to get LOUD!
